Bag the Ban is a project of the American Progressive Bag Alliance (APBA). The APBA represents the U.S. plastic bag manufacturing and recycling industry, which employs nearly 25,000 workers in 40 states.
Bag the Ban was developed in response to proposed laws that would ban or tax plastic grocery and retail bags. The industry is deeply committed to the environment and, as such, does not agree with banning or taxing bags because these policies create negative consequences for the environment and economy.
We believe in a better solution, one that increases the recycling and reuse of grocery and retail bags across the country without banning products or taxing families.
Thank you for visiting Bag the Ban. Please join the effort to prevent bans and taxes on your grocery bags.
