St. Louis Park backs away from plastic bag ban
Earlier this year, St. Louis Park, Minnesota, a small town outside Minneapolis, was weighing a potential ban on plastic grocery bags. But after meeting with town residents, the council concluded a ban would be more symbolic than substantive and is planning on working towards establishing more recycling programs within the town.
City Councilman and Mayor-Elect Jack Spano stated, “We’ve tabled the bag thing altogether.”
